Hays PTA membership is vitally important to the success of our school, our students, and our PTA. Every year, the classroom with the most PTA members gets a prize from our Vice President of Membership. This year, Maria Harvey put together a fabulous prize for the winning class…a cookie and ice cream party! Great job class!
This year, our PTA has replaced the library vinyl window decoration at the front of our school. There was a fabulous design painted there around five years ago. It had seen some wear and tear over the years and it was time for a new design. Hays PTA was able to provide the funds for a bright and shiny new design that echos the Leader in Me message throughout our school. Check out the new design below.
Special thanks to the PTA volunteers who scraped the old window design to prepare for the new installation. Also, we want to thank all of those individuals and businesses that volunteered and supported our 5K this year. This event is our main fundraiser and this is just one of the ways that it helps to improve our school.
Next year your child will embark on a brand new journey to Middle School. And it’s time for you to embark on a new journey too: to Middle School PTA! If your student is headed to Williams Middle School. Board position forms are open now. Download the form to learn more. Print it and turn it in to the Williams MS office by March 9.

Hays students came out to meet up and have dinner at Joe Willy’s. Joe Willy’s donated a portion of the proceeds back to our school Thanks Joe Willy’s!
Each year Hays PTA hosts a Holiday Shop in order to give all of our school children a fun place to do their own holiday shopping. This event is not a fundraiser, but simply a fun way for us to enrich the lives of our students. They are so excited to shop and give to others. We will need volunteers to set up the space and to run the event throughout the week. The sign up is available now over on the Volunteer Page or click the icon image below. Any questions? Head over to the Contact Us link to send us an email. Each class will visit the shop during the week.
Sign up here to volunteer during the day to help in the Holiday Shop.
Ever wonder if those box tops you are cutting and saving are really worth it? We are happy to report that we’ll be receiving a check sometime in December from Box Tops for Education in the amount of $564.90.
We earned $220.10 this school year and $344.80 was the remaining amount from last school year! Way to go, team! And special thanks to Shea Gentzler for doing all the leg work to get our box top status in order!!
Remember to collect Box Tops off of hundreds of food products and send them to school with your child. Put them in a baggie with your child’s name, grade level, and teacher for them to receive credit for class incentives. Drop them in the Box Top camper outside of the cafeteria!
